Will 2020 be the ‘Year of Vision’ that everyone seems to be expecting?
During a walk last week, God spoke a few things to my heart about this upcoming year of 2020. It is different than what everyone else has been prophesying or speaking forth as the “year of vision”, so I put in a little extra prayer time and research to make sure I was hearing correctly. While I do think there might be something to vision, the Lord spoke something else entirely different to me.
This word began with a strange vision of body parts being reattached to a body. Limbs were coming together. Inward parts were being purified. Senses were being readjusted. Etc…
Slowly, the interpretation then began to download in my mind.
The body restored
The past decade or so, God has been gathering His remnant back to the Lord’s House, but this upcoming decade begins a realignment of sorts. The year 2020 begins a decade of unification. This means that all of the unique features of each part of the body will begin to work together, with Christ being the head and the Holy Spirit leading every step of the way.
There are many believers who had left the church for various reasons. Some were hurt by people in the church. Others felt rejected and cast out. Many fell into sin. These will return to the body.
Parts of the body have hindered other parts within the body, but they will no longer judge those parts for not operating the same as they do. For instance, the arm will no longer look down at the leg for being unable to lift; and vice versa, the leg will not demand the arm to walk. Instead, they will be amazed at how their different functions, perspectives and directions end up accomplishing the same goal together. And they will rejoice together.
There will be no more competition amongst similar parts. For instance, the right arm will not be jealous of the left arm but will encourage and partner with one another as they embrace those who need a hug! One singer will joyfully encourage the other. One teacher will eagerly welcome another. One church will support the rival church. Etc…
The cleansing
A blood transfusion will renew and revive the inward parts. The inward parts of the body (heart, lungs, kidneys, etc.) are what keeps the body operating by continuously cleaning and getting rid of waste. From a spiritual perspective, I consider these to be the intercessors, discerners, prophets, etc… Sadly, many of them have grown weary and sick with all the stress that the outward parts have put on them. The blood transfusion will pump fire in and out of the heart that will then flow throughout the rest of the body, giving it new life.
The five senses will transmit information to help the body understand and perceive the new thing God is doing in complete surrender to the brain (aka the head – Jesus). There will be sight, but there will also be clear speech, smell, sound, and touch. Take note that four of the five senses have to do with discernment; but speech declares that which is discerned. The face of the body will glow as all these functions begin to operate the way they were intended.
20/20 Vision
Since this ‘prophetic word’ seemed to be completely different than what so many prophets, teachers and the general population have been saying, I purposed in my heart to research 20/20 vision (along with the Hebrew year of 5780) as soon as I got home from my walk.
This is what I found…
It might surprise many of you to know (as it did me) that 20/20 vision is not actually perfect vision. Having 20/20 vision is simply a measurement to determine standard (normal) vision. Equally interesting is that 20/15 vision is the best and most unique vision.
I feel this fact coincides with the word that the Lord had given me. In the past decade or so, people have seen and recognized God’s individual vision for their lives. Their eyes were opened to the call and purpose upon their lives. However, as they explored the vision that had been placed in them, they got puffed up and began to boast in their unique talents/gifts/abilities and made it about themselves. 2020 begins the decade of appreciating and working together with other visions in unison.
The Hebrew year is 5780
What you may not know is that Hebrew letters also have numerical value. 80 is the numerical value of ‘Pey’ in the alphabet. Pey means mouth.
Therefore, I believe this decade has more to do with the mouth than the eyes. It is suggested that the letter Pey is a picture of the divine spark of God within the soul, and it is the mouth that brings reality into being. God spoke all of Creation into being and gave man (who is created in His Image) the same authority to create with the mouth. For more wonderful insight into pey, please click on this link.
My investigation added new revelation and confirmation to the prophetic word I was given. In my spirit, I just hadn’t been able to fully get on board with all the ‘perfect vision’ prophesies. Did you know that according to the Hebrew numerology, the past decade of 5770 was the decade of the eyes (sight, vision)? This aligns with my study of eyesight measurements of 20/15 being perfect vision.
Revival is on it’s way!
This research of 20/20 vision and Hebrew year/numerology seem to further support the contrasting word that God had given me. I believe God is igniting a spark within the body that will bring unification and speak forth new creation. The visions that were birthed during the previous decade will come together to launch a glorious body of Christ into the next decade.
1 Corinthians 12: 12-27
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.
Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
Update (May 17, 2021)… In retrospect, as I read back on this, I find it ironic that the year 2020, which began the decade of the mouth, was when the government instituted mask mandates that tried to cover everyone’s mouth.
